Welcome to the Fuzzy House, founded in February of 2015, in Brookville, PA. The Fuzzy House is a full service grooming salon for both dogs and cats, catering to the needs and comfort of the pet. We are a small, one on one shop where you will see and talk to the professionals that will be working with your pet. With over 30 years experience, high quality products, some of the latest tools and techniques, and continuing education, you can rest assured that your pet will not only be in good hands, but come out looking beautiful and feeling confident

1993

I, Barbara Efremenko, am the founder and groomer of The Fuzzy House. I got my start in 1993 at Top of The Bay Pet Lodge in Trappe, Md, owned by Greg and Kim Strong. Top of The Bay was and still is one of the leading show handling kennels on the East coast of the USA. I then moved from Maryland back to the Pittsburgh, PA area where I worked in several commercial pet grooming and boarding facilities learning so much more on top of an already rock solid foundation. I also worked part time as an assistant at a vet’s office and eventully pursued my Associates’s degree in Veterinary Technology at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. I passed my boards and obtained my Veterinary Technician license and worked as a vet tech for 15 years. I did grooming part time all the while. Although I thoroughly enjoyed being a vet tech, and the work was challenging and rewarding, grooming was and is my true passion. I took a leap of faith and opened The Fuzzy House in 2015 and have been so richly rewarded by the community and the pets I work with every day since then.
